WOW! We made it through our first CTC. We had great competitors and great weather. The riders gave us very good feed back and lots of encouragement. We are waiting impatiently for approval of the rest of the rides we have scheduled. The remainder of the rides will be 2 days.

We are a group of trail riders who saw an excellent opportunity to share our love of horses and trail riding in Southern Ohio with a multitude of other like minded people.  We agree with the ACTHA philosophy of helping people help horses of every breed. A percentage of the proceeds from every ride will be donated to local equine programs.

Every event will strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by ACTHA.

All the events will be held in the 12000 acre Pike Lake State Forest in Southern Ohio. This is an area of hills and valleys and requires an advanced beginner or intermediate rider, and a horse that is in moderately good trail riding condition. Horse shoes or boots are recommended. The event will begin and end at Tanglewood Acres Horsemen’s Campground  ( www.tanglewoodacres.com ) where you can come for one day or camp for the weekend, normal rates will apply. It is necessary to ride on the county road for 3/4 of a mile to and from the campground. Additional SAFETY precautions will be taken the day of the ride. The State Forest has approximately 50 miles of bridle trails, so plan on spending the entire weekend to ride with us. Trail maps for the entire forest will be available so you may enjoy the rest of this beautiful forest after the competition is over. Enjoy the obstacle garden in your spare time and receive useful hints from our helpful staff.
